Hi. I'm busy here getting the commentators and Bible passages lined up for the Summer of Scripture - PoP 50. With the help of some pre-existing lists, Education chairperson, Susan, and I have figured out 50 important Bible Stories/passages for the congregation to read this summer. She has compiled booklets for adults with each of the passages and reflection questions. She's also put together a kids version using a kid-friendly translation. For the kids, there are incentives for each 5 passages they read.
I'm working on the blog part so that at work or on vacation, you don't need to bring the booklet. We are finding different people to give a bit of reflection every day.
Mondays - Pr Sarah
Tuesdays - A High School/College Youth
Wednesdays - A Member of the church council
Thursdays - A Member of the congregation
Fridays - Pr Steve
If you'd like to write a reflection, please email me. About half of the congregational and youth spots are already taken, but we can easily double or triple up if more people want to write reflections.
